Sajókaza

Sajókaza, nestled on the left bank of the Sajó river in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Hungary, is a picturesque village with a rich history dating back to 1231. Its heart is the Reformed church, an architectural marvel blending Romanesque, Gothic, and 19th-century styles. The village once thrived as a hub for county assemblies in the 14th century, but faced adversity with the arrival of the Turks.
Despite challenges, Sajokaza has persevered. Today, it hosts vibrant annual events featuring cooking contests, cultural showcases, and musical performances. The community seeks to expand its cultural offerings, with a growing need for accessible theater performances.
