Luigi Ciotta

Luigi Ciotta was born in Palermo in 1979; he began as a self-taught approach to visual art in 1995 through painting and in particular Street art, and then moved on to painting on canvas and paper. In 2000 he moved to Bologna to study Disciplines of Music and Performing Arts (DAMS) where he graduated with honors in 2004 with a thesis in Medieval Art History. During this period he exhibited his works in several solo and group exhibitions in both Bologna and Palermo.
During his university years he became passionate about theater, a love that would lead him to undertake a 4-year professional theatrical path at Philip Radice's Atelier Teatro Fisico (J. Lecoq Method), Turin, graduating in 2007. At the same time he studies contemporary circus at the Flic School in Turin.
Since 2005 he has performed in many International Festivals between Europe, Asia and the Middle East as an actor and street artist. His love for painting spills over into the creation of shows with a strong visual impact. His theatrical style mixes circus, improvisation and comedy, often touching on issues related to environmental education.
