The Cimborák Puppet Theatre
ROMANIA
The Cimborák Puppet Theatre was founded in 1998 as an independent puppet division of the Tamási Áron Theatre, initiated by Kálmán Nagy Kopeczky and Levente Nemes, actor and former theatre director. It has been operating under its current name since 2008.
Its goal is to create high-quality puppet performances for the audiences of Sfântu Gheorghe and Covasna County. Its efforts extend to raising awareness about the outstanding significance of folk tales and traditions, as well as their role in shaping identity, building culture, and preserving heritage.
Following the spirit of "Father Elek" (Elek Benedek), the company is dedicated to making folk tales alive, understandable, and lovable for both adults and children alike.
