Compagnia Samovar

The Samovar Company was founded in 2011 by brothers Luca and Davide Salata, giving birth to their first production straddling Italy and Romania: ‘Mic Circ Fraţilor’, a street theatre show in which clowning, music and acrobatics combine to the rhythm of Balkan music and flavours of the East.
The brothers, creative artists, have also been among the organisers and artistic directors of the CircuSpring festival, an alternative theatre festival in Trento, since 2015.
The Samovar company draws on the most classical clownery to implement a profound research on man as a singular being through experimentation in this ancient and always contemporary art. In the company's creations, live music, scenic constructions and mime/body expression are central, giving value to these languages as primary elements of communication.
