
Reception or passage room, intimate, elegant or humorous. Female sculptures brought to life, revealed from their versatile red flanged costumes, with gestures abstracted from women’s typical life situations, reform themselves and their relations again and again: they meet, pray, toddle and twist. They re-arrange the view of the articulated scene with displacements in different rhythms, persistently but unexpectedly. Their states of existence become more perceptible through projections of light and sound. The performance is a full evening long new choreography of Woman in Red debuted in Gates of Metamorphosis in 2002 for the soul-lifting dissonant melodies composed for bandoneón of the famous Argentine composer Astor Piazzola.
