Alexandra Gauß (46) has been mayor of Windeck for 7 years. As an economist with an interest in culture and politics, she is particularly committed to cultural and social diversity in rural areas.
As a networker, she pursues the vision of strengthening culture as a connecting element across generations and villages. In doing so, she brings together people from administration, voluntary work, the arts and civil society. Her cultural policy credo: "Culture connects people and changes perspectives - culture makes villages more vibrant and empowers young people in particular."
