Matteo Marsan graduated in 1990 from the Art Institute of Florence.
Since October 1997, he has been the artistic director of the Teatro Comunale V. Alfieri of Castelnuovo Berardenga (Si).
Since 1999, he has been doing dramaturgy, direction and staging of the Bruscello Storico of Castelnuovo Berardenga (SI) (community theater in eighth rhyme).
From 2006 to 2016 he has coordinated with David Riondino the regional project on extemporaneous poetry "L'Ottava - Accademia della Letteratura Orale". For this project he organized shows, conferences, publications.
Since July 2009 he has the artistic direction of the Chianti Festival by the Municipalities of Castelnuovo B.ga, Radda in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti and Castellina in Chianti.
From 2010 to 2018 he did the artistic direction of the events and shows connected to the international cycling event "L'Eroica" which takes place in Gaiole in Chianti in October.
Since February 2016, he has been doing the artistic direction and coordination of the cultural events of the Municipality of Monteriggioni.
In February 2018, for the Municipality of Monteriggioni (Si), he created and directed the children's book festival "Reading to fly". In May 2022 the festival reached its fifth edition.
Since 2021, together with the actress Daniela Morozzi, he is working for the direction and organization of the theatre and music festival "Let's take back the scene", that involves 11 municipalities in Tuscany.
Since 2023 he is the artistic director of the Monteriggioni Medieval Festival and artistic director of live events in the Municipality of Radda in Chianti (Si).
