Kotlin
POLAND
Kotlin is a sizable village, located in the Greater Poland Voivodeship, Jarocin County, with a population of around 3,200. The village was first mentioned in 1397. Kotlin is also the seat of the municipality and the centre of the food industry - a factory of concentrates, ketchups and jams. Every year, on the last Saturday in August, the inhabitants celebrate Kotlin Day - the Tomato Festival, during which there are concerts, competitions, tasting of regional dishes and presentations by small artists from the Kotlin Cultural Centre. In October, the Festival of Accordion Soloists and Ensembles, the oldest accordion festival in Poland, has been held in Kotlin for 28 years.
