Užpaliai

Užpaliai is a town in the north of the Utena district, surrounded by a system of defensive mounds on both sides of the Šventoji river and with close to 50 places of interest or objects. More than 600 inhabitants live in the town. Many of them serve as a place for community gatherings through various cultural activities. The spring of Krokulė is constantly visited, and comes to life exclusively during the “Kraštiečių” festival and on Midsummer's Eve. Attention to the culture of the region in terms of history, nature and the community of people has deep traditions in Užpaliai.
