LOCAL PROMOTERS FROM 7 COUNTRIES: A CAPACITY BUILDING PROGRAMME IN CORNWALL
Domenica, 05 Maggio 2019 14:51

From April 29th to May 3rd Take Art and Carn to Cove led a collective skill sharing programme with the partners and local rural promoters from each partner country in Cornwall. This experiential programme looked at all aspects of putting on a show, from choosing it to all the elements of promoting, marketing the show and selling tickets. 20 local promoters from Estonia, Italy, Lithuania and Romania had the opportunity to learn about the English rural touring system, meeting artists experienced in rural touring and local promoters who work for Carn to Cove.

The group attended the menu party in the village of Carleen where the staff of Carn to cove showed their local promoters what’s on offer for the Autumn 2019 season, a concrete example of how the Cornish rural system works. The international delegation was also invited to attend a show in Bodmin, an interesting one man adaptation of King Lear. It was a wonderful experience for everyone!
