The two sisters embark on a frustrating journey at first sight: with their mother's ashtray, they ride to their father's grave. The journey turns into a series of events: driving a bus, "stuck" in a bar, dancing and indulging in memories ... Sisters who have been almost uninterested in each other's destiny for a lifetime become close friends after their mother's death ... Pierre Notte's play "Two Ladies to the North" was a great success in France among both audiences and theater critics (premiere at La Pépinière-Théâtre in Paris in 2008). Critics voted it the best play of the year.
