The human and artistic story of the italian singer and musician Franco Battiato from the Sixties to our times was set in a historical and social context in constant transformation.
The periodization in seven periods and as many chapters highlights how Battiato's path is actually in constant dialogue with his time and not alien as we often tend to think. The starting point is 1967 in full student and worker revolt and under the influence of the beat, when Battiato writes protest songs, and then continues with a view to inserting Battiato within the historical context and the main events and movements up to the album Apriti Sesamo, the last one in the studio.
Nicholas Ciuferri tells a story that is unique and much greater than one usually tends to think, with deep roots in one's land and branches reaching towards the sky, so Battiato is presented in his many guises: protest singer-songwriter, experimental composer, refined mystical but always somehow connected with reality.
The show sees Nicholas narrating the story of Battiato and Claudia Fofi performing the pieces accompanied by Paolo Ceccarelli and Andrea Angeloni.
