Do you like Banana, Comrades? is a simple story in a not-so-simple life. It takes place in the communist times in Romania where everyone is worried except for the narrator, Robert. In a world where everyone has nothing he has everything, he even can eat bananas, because his father is the master of life and death in the city where Robert grows up. Or does he really have everything?
Growing up isn’t so easy, he witnesses her mother crying everyday, his brother constantly wants to kill him and the only girl he likes is the „enemy” of the system.
However, the faith of systems in fact is that they collapse following and easier, better life. Or not?
