Suceagu is located 12 km from Cluj-Napoca. Its population is mixed: it is inhabited by Romanians, Hungarians and Roma, with a total of about 1,500 people. It was once a village with a noble population. There is also an Orthodox and a Reformed church in the village. The House of Culture is located in the center of the village, next to the Orthodox Church, opposite the headquarters of the “Hai in sat” (Come to the Village) cultural association. It was built at the beginning of the last century and then completely rehabilitated after 10 years. As a result, it currently has a spacious room that can accommodate about 200 people. They don’t hold events here often, they just organize funeral meals and occasionally celebrations. Except for the project called “Hai in sat la opera” (Come to the village for opera), which was organized by the association “Hai in sat” with great success last year.
